Reproduction success in Fathala reserve
First calf was born these days in Fathala reserve!!! This reproduction success encourages our conservation efforts of Western giant eland and confirms the possibility of establishment of reproduction herd in Fathala.

Presentation of project activities and perspectives

Reproduction success
Eleven calves were born last season, from the December 2008 to February 2009. Five males and four females were born in the large herd, Bandia 1, and were sired by the original breeding bull, Niokolo.
